Hydrotherapy has many benefits for your health & wellbeing and is a great medium for promoting relaxation, mobilising joints, strengthening muscles and assisting with balance and coordination difficulties in a safe and comfortable environment.
A session in our 20 metre indoor warm water pool will help increase circulation, reduce muscle spasm and relieve aches and pains. You do not need to be able to swim in order to benefit from hydrotherapy. Water exercise may be used alone or in conjunction with other rehabilitation programs and is often a stepping stone for patients to progress to land based exercise programs.

Hydrotherapy can benefit a wide range of conditions, including;

  • Back pain
  • Tendinopathy
  • Balance / coordination difficulties
  • Shoulder pain
  • Osteoarthritis
  • Arthritis
  • Fibromyalgia
  • Chronic pain
  • Neurological conditions
  • Cerebral palsy
  • Rehabilitation after fractures or joint replacement
  • Pre & post orthopaedic surgery

Hydrotherapy sessions are offered in the Warm Water Pool on weekdays.

Referrals

A referral from a doctor or allied health practitioner is NOT required; however you may wish to speak to your GP about a referral to see if you are eligible for funding assistance through Medicare, DVA, NDIS, WorkSafe or TAC. There are NO OUT-OF-POCKET expenses for consultations under any of these initiatives.
HICAPS is available in centre and rebates through health insurance are available from your Extras Cover (depending on your particular level of cover).
